The sportscaster covered the Orange Bowl for the second straight year as a sideline reporter for ESPN2’s weekly Saturday night prime-time college football show.

Early life
Taylor was born on May 12, 1987 to Steve and Suzette Taylor. As a student at Centennial High School, she excelled at basketball for four years and won numerous awards. Honors included Atlanta Tip-Off Team of the Year selection, Fulton County Scholar Athlete of the Year, three years as Offensive MVP for their high school volleyball team, three All-Region selections, and All-State honors as a senior . Taylor was also selected in 2004 to play volleyball for the Junior National A2 team for USA.
Taylor earned a scholarship for her athletic ability to attend the University of Georgia, where she played basketball and volleyball from 2005-2009. During her visit to Georgia, she was selected for the All-SEC volleyball team each season. In the Open Division of the US Volleyball Championships, she continued to compete with the US Volleyball Junior National Team A2 and contributed to her bronze medal win. When Taylor’s playing career came to an end in the fall of 2008, she had 2,020 total points and 1,729 career kills, ranking fourth in program history. She is 6’2″ tall.

Taylor spent the three years leading up to 2012 as a reporter and presenter for IMG College at the University of Georgia. In addition, she has appeared on a number of studio programs including SportsNite, Dawg Report and SEC Men’s Basketball Tonight.

She previously served as an analyst for ESPN’s coverage of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and Women’s Volleyball National Championship, as well as the NCAA Women’s Basketball Selection Show and the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Preview Show.

She left after a July 2020 conference call between Rachel Nichols and LeBron James advisor Adam Mendelsohn was leaked, suggesting the network had chosen Taylor to host the NBA Finals because of her race. Taylor joined NBC Sports two days later, and on July 23, while the network was covering the 2020 Summer Olympics, she made her television debut.
Taylor became a panelist on NBC’s Sunday Night Football pre-game program Football Night in America for the 2021 NFL season. In May 2022, it was reported that Taylor would take over the role as the show’s main host from Mike Tirico, who moved to the lead play-by-play position for Sunday Night Football.
