Mark Ruffalo isn’t hulking because of it She-Hulk: The Lawyer scene.
The actor who plays the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is glad that the new Disney+ series is finally addressing the fact that Edward Norton played the same role in 2008 The Incredible Hulk.
“I think it’s very funny,” Ruffalo said Entertainment Weekly. “It’s just a reality that we all dance around a lot, but it’s true. I actually joked with Ed about this. I thought, “This is like the Hamlet of our generation. Everyone will get a chance.”
“There will probably be a couple more before it’s all over,” he added. “People will be like, ‘Remember when the Hulk looked like Mark Ruffalo? Now it looks like Timothee Chalamet.'”
The breaking of the fourth wall occurs when She’s the Hulk Jen (Tatiana Maslany) initially refuses the client Emil Blonsky, known as the Abomination (Tim Roth) because he tried to kill her cousin Bruce The Incredible Hulk. But when Bruce hears this, he encourages her to take the job, joking that “that fight happened years ago, I’m a completely different person now—literally.” Jen then laughs right into the camera.
