Early Life
Marshawn Terrell Lynch was born in Oakland, California on April 22, 1986. His father’s name is Maurice Sapp and his mother’s name is Delisa Lynch. He grew up in Oakland with his three older siblings.
Lynch was raised by his mother, who once set a 200-meter track record at Oakland Technical High School. His father is serving a 24-year term for burglary and had previously been convicted six times, twice on serious crimes.
Amateur Career
Lynch played football, basketball, and track, and participated in wrestling competitions after attending Oakland Technical High School.
