Meet the victims of the most extreme season of Survivor

CBS announced the cast for the hit reality show’s 43rd season on Aug. 31, and we’ve got a sneak peek at the 18 cast members as they prepare to battle it out on the beach.

The dead include everyone from an American Paralympic runner to a 19-year-old pet cremator. This season they will be divided into three tribes of the six — Bucka, Coco and Vesey — and will face “a faster, more extreme season from the moment they hit the beach,” according to CBS.

“Moral dilemmas and unpredictable situations will be a test for even the strongest opponent,” the network said in a statement. “Because food is scarce, rewards and supplies are minimal, and mental and physical challenges require players to make impossible decisions and adjust their strategies on a daily basis.”

That’s right: we continue a new, complex era survived host Jeff Probst we were warned when the series began its 41st season in 2021, which means more Prisoner’s Dilemma-style options, do-or-die twists, and perks we probably haven’t even seen yet.
