Meghan Markle has crossed out another page from Princess Diana’s style book.

The 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex was photographed during her trip to Nigeria Friday wore a gold necklace that looked very similar to one her late mother-in-law once wore during a visit to the same African country.

Markle paired her gold collared jewelry with a cream top and white jacket. Diana also chose to wear bright colors when she wore hers in 1991.

Then on Saturday, Markle decided to once again honor the former Princess of Wales by wearing a gold cross necklace that, according to Page Six’s source, actually belonged to Diana.

The “Suits” actress showed off a delicate chain, combining it with a strapless white linen dress by St. Agni.

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, were invited to a reception hosted by Christopher Musa, the Nigerian chief of defense staff, in honor of military families.

Prince Harry matched his wife with another linen look, opting for a cream suit.

The couple announced the unveiling of the rehabilitation center at the party.

Earlier in the day, Markle, 42, cheered on Harry, 39, as he played at a volleyball match.

Tiwa Akanbi, 9, who was in attendance, told reporters that the duchess had gushed over her: “Prince Harry loves playing volleyball” and “is very good at it.”

Markle is a fan not only of her spouse, but apparently also of his late mother, as she has turned to Diana many times for fashion inspiration.

In May 2023, the mother of two was seen wearing Diana Cartier’s watch while hiking.

Markle reportedly wears the watch almost every day. He also wears a diamond tennis bracelet by Bentley & Skinner, which was probably a gift from King Charles III to his late ex-wife.

The Sussexes are in Africa to promote their philanthropic efforts.

On Friday, Markle sparked discussion on the Internet by wearing a dress with a peculiar name.

The former “Deal or No Deal” model wore a peach backless maxi dress, the style of which is known as “Windsor” – which is also the British royal house.

“I’m convinced he’s doing it on purpose at this point. Its goal is shame, not acceptance. “It takes a page out of Wallis’s playbook,” one critic wrote on Twitter at the time.

Another Royal fan chimed in: “It ended as a snub. DEFINITELY.”
