Melanie Martin celebrates her son’s birthday after Aaron Carter’s death

Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin’s son Prince turned one year old on Tuesday, almost three weeks after the singer’s death.
“Happy birthday to my little boy Prince Lyric Carter 🙏❤️👑”, model signed a video with photos from the past on Instagram Carter and their son.
“Today is going to be a hard day for me but I know your daddy is playing birthday songs for you in heaven,” she continued. “I love you boy!!!🎶🎤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔.”
In an Instagram Story uploaded, Martin, 30, gave a glimpse of Prince’s party.
The toddler celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese, and more photos with his late father appeared on his cake.
The former barmaid gave birth to Prince in November 2021, a week before she broke up with the former child star – then reconciled, only to split up again in February.
Carter checked into rehab in September 2021 and temporarily lost custody of Prince.
Two months later, news broke that the “That’s How I Beat Shaq” singer had died at his home in California at the age of 34.
Martin said earlier this month she was “devastated” by Carter’s death, adding: “My heart is completely broken. … I knew he was struggling and I tried everything to help him.”
After the creator of Love Lashes touched on Carter’s “independent and strong personality”, she added: “I couldn’t help him in the way I thought he needed. My only regret is that I don’t have more people to help with it.”
The former couple’s on-and-off, on-and-off relationship began in early 2020 when Carter had Martin’s name tattooed above his eyebrow over the course of two months.
In June 2020, the duo became engaged.
“Love wins”, Carter signed his disclosure on Instagram after proposing.
He and Martin announced the news of the pregnancy the following March.
“I’ll take care of … us,” the “Dancing with the Stars” graduate told his followers on Instagram in 2021 after he boasted of a positive test result. “That’s my word.”
Carter reportedly died without a will, meaning Prince is likely to inherit his father’s estate.
