England commandant Moeen Ali said his one off-turn bowling against Pakistan was a “bet” that didn’t go down after the visitors lost the second Twenty20 Worldwide in Karachi on Thursday.
Chasing 200 to win, Pakistan were 104 for no trouble in the thirteenth over when Moeen invited himself in and surrendered 21 runs, including three sixes.

Pakistan held sway and went on to win by 10 wickets, with commander Babar Azam hitting a magnificent 100.
The power changed when I was surprised. That genuinely gave them the conviction and after that they were basically steady,” said Moeen.
“I felt it was handled for the greater part of it. I felt like I lost the game too much for us. That was a gamble on my part.
“I went to try to get a wicket, almost bought a wicket. Obviously it didn’t work and that’s when Pakistan really decided the match.
The seven-match series is level at 1-1, with the third T20 to be played later on Friday.
