New DWTS Teaser Promises ‘An Entirely Different Ballroom’

Dancing with the stars has several new moves. Literally.

Ahead of the show’s upcoming move from ABC to Disney+, the long-running dance competition is freshening things up in a few ways. Two hosts of the show Tyra Banks and Alfonso Ribeiro can be seen in an Action on August 29 adapt to their new home.

“Tyra, I don’t think we’re in L.A. anymore,” Alfonso says in the clip, to which Tyra replies, “No, it’s a whole different ballroom.”

They mean TV presenters DWTS’ switch to the Disney streamer, a change announced in April. And while DWTS is Disney+’s first live series, it looks like the streamer is ready to create some magic with the popular show.

Case in point: Tinkerbell herself gives a warm welcome to Tyra and Alfonso, including a disco ball and several couples twirling in shimmering gold outfits.

No wonder Tyra “can’t wait to see the stars enter a whole new world.” Currently, the cast includes a TikTok star Charlie D’Amelio and her mother Heidi D’Amelioas well as Joseph Baena (24-year-old son of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger) to name a few.
