What is an example? At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Nicki went wild in a whimsical outfit featuring a holographic armored corset, which she teamed with a tulle ballerina skirt and multicolored leggings. Mixed stockings were handmade accessories compared to stuffed animals attached to clothing.

Four years later, she wowed again at the MTV VMAs in an equally stunning ensemble, glittering in a gold plunging gown with sheer fabric and lavish lace embroidery. While the gilded design wasn’t over the top compared to her 2011 outfit, it was still worthy of praise.

On August 28, the 39-year-old actor will make a triumphant return to the MTV VMAs. Not only will she receive the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, but she is expected to perform for the first time since 2018. In addition, she is the co-host of the star novel with L.L. Cool J and Jack Harlow.
