Niecy Nash, wife has matching tattoos with another woman’s name on it
A sweet gesture could turn sour to Niecy Nash.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Tamron Hall Show,” the actress showed up with wife Jessica Betts – and discussed some awkward ink.
Nash, 52, explained that when she told Betts her real name was Carol, Betts misheard it as “Cora” and started calling her the wrong name for “almost two years” when they were dating.
“One day she said,” Why are you calling me Cora? ” And I thought, “That’s your name!” Recalls 40-year-old Betts.
“No, it’s not!” Nash replied. “I thought it was something cool kids call themselves on the street in New York!”
“I said,” My name is not Cora, “and she said,” Now “-” Reno 911! ” the star joked.
Nevertheless, the overheard name became an internal joke between the couple, and Betts had a “Cora” tattooed on her neck in tribute to her wife.
“It is and is stuck…. JB, Always and forever your “Cora” ❤️❤️❤️ @jessicabettsmusic #IYKYK “- wrote Nash Instagram post ink disclosure on Wednesday.
In the same clip, the presenter of “Clean House” showed her own tattoo – which reads “Lady. Cora Betts ”- on her thigh.
The couple got married at a surprise ceremony at their California home in August 2020, just months after Nash finalized her divorce from Jay Tucker.
