As the search for the next James Bond continues, one thing is for sure – Pierce Brosnan just doesn’t care who becomes the next martini-drinking secret agent.

The 69-year-old actor played the iconic role 007 in a total of four Bond films, from 1995 until his departure from the series in 2002.

When asked who should be sipping a “shaken, unblended” martini after Daniel Craig, Brosnan made his thoughts on the subject clear.

“Who should do it?” he said to GQ magazine in the cover interview. “I do not care.”

“It will be interesting to see who they get, who this man will be,” he continued. “Whoever he is, I wish him well.”

Brosnan was the fifth actor to land the role of Bond, after Timothy Dalton, who appeared as an undercover agent in two films.

During Brosnan’s 7 years as Bond, he starred in four films, including “Golden Eye” in 1995, “Tomorrow Never Dies” in 1997, “The World Is Not Enough” in 1999 and “The Day Comes To Die”.

Elsewhere in an interview, Brosnan revealed that he had seen only two of Craig’s five Bond movies: Skyfall and the latest release, No Time to Die.

“I love Skyfall,” said the actor. When asked about his thoughts on No Time To Die, Brosnan seemed to cast a shadow over the film.

“I’m not too sure about the last one,” he revealed. Despite this thought, Brosnan praised Craig for being “very brave” and “very strong”.

As the search for another Bond continues, it has been rumored for years that Idris Elba is another 007 agent. Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson recently responded to the whispers.

“He’s great,” said Wilson Diversity while Broccoli added, “We love Idris.”

“It will be a few years off,” said Broccoli. “And when we cast Bond, that’s a 10, 12-year commitment. So he probably thinks, “Do I really want this?” Not everyone wants to do this. It was hard enough to do (Daniel Craig to do it). “

Wilson pointed out that Craig, now 54, was 30 when he first started out as Bond. Since Elba is 50, he would be at least 60 before calling it a quit, making casting unlikely.
