Prince Harry, Meghan Markle relegated to the official royal website
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been officially relegated.
Over the weekend, photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were pushed to the bottom of the list Royal family party.
While they were still working members of the family, the couple’s dedicated parties were mentioned just below Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have since been promoted to Prince and Princess of Wales, respectively.
After resigning from their duties in January 2020, they were forced to sit right next to Princess Anna. But now, after King Charles III has ascended the throne, they sit on top of the disgraced Prince Andrew.
Since their infamous Megxit, the couple have rarely returned to Britain from their new home in California – until the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8.
Their demotion is just the last issue the couple has faced in the last few weeks.
After his return to Britain after the death of his grandmother, the Duke of Sussex was not allowed to wear a military uniform to the upcoming celebrations – unlike the rest of his family.
After extensive research, 73-year-old Charles allowed him to do so at the funeral itself – on one condition: he could not have his deceased grandmother’s initials on his military uniform. The 38-year-old Harry was reportedly so “broken” that he almost gave up wearing the uniform.
Additionally, Markle and Harry were seemingly disregarded at the funeral of the deceased monarch when they were forced to sit in the second row rather than in front with the rest of the royal family.
After the queen’s death, the couple spent 11 days in England – however, their relationship with the royal family, from which they are not separated, did not seem to improve.
“I think it’s very sad [that] at the time Harry was here, there was an opportunity considering they were only a few hundred yards apart for a meeting or dinner or some kind of gathering where they could just try to throw things away “,” New Royals “by Katie Nicholl told Page Six about Harry’s ongoing dispute with 40-year-old William.
Although the “Magnificent Four” – as William, Middleton, Markle and Harry are known – greeted a grieving crowd together outside Windsor Castle, Nicholl says there was no reconciliation.
“William can be very stubborn and hold a grudge. Harry is emotional and quick-tempered, both of them are very passionate and there is a lack of understanding in both parts and resentment in both parts and anger in both parts that could not be soothed and worked through, “she noted.
In March 2021, the brothers’ relationships took their worst turn when Harry and the 41-year-old alumnus of “The Suit” sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss their decision to leave the royal family.
In a shocking interview, the couple shared about the racism they felt in the media and their family – which William vehemently denied.
Harry also ruffled some feathers when he criticized his upbringing and claimed that his father and brother were still “trapped” in their royal roles.
Although Harry making up with his family was one of the late Queen’s dearest wishes, there seems to be still some hostility in the air.
