Prince Harry, Meghan Markle returns to California after the queen’s funeral
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle flew back to California after a long period of mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II in the UK, as confirmed by Page Six.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their homeland on Tuesday, the day after they attended the funeral services for the late monarch.
It is unlikely that the alum “Suit” was able to have the one-to-one conversation with King Charles III, which she reportedly asked for before leaving the country.
Couple live in Montecito with their children, 3-year-old son Archie and 1-year-old daughter Lilibet, they both stayed with Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.
Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, moved to a coastal city after the infamous resignation from royal duties in 2020.
All eyes were on the couple during their last stay in England, where they met Harry’s older brother Prince William and William’s wife, Kate Middleton.
The Fab Four had a series of tense interactions, from icy glares in public to separate seating arrangements at the Queen’s Monday funeral.
Throughout this time, Markle seemed to be showing her husband “silent support”, body language expert and author Judi James only told Page Six.
“The best description of Meghan’s body language at the funeral was” understated, “she said of the host of the” Archetypes “podcast.
“She seemed to be continuing this silent support to her husband, sitting and walking with an expression of dignity tinged with sadness.”

Although Markle was photographed shedding tears after the ruler’s departure, James stated that Harry seemed equally devastated at the loss of his beloved grandmother.
“Walking alongside but far away from his brother, his frowning and quick blinking suggested the beginning of tears,” noted James.
“As he watched the coffin being unloaded, his mouth was drawn in, swayed from side to side, and swayed the arms he had been making before to suggest he was preparing emotionally.”
Elizabeth died on September 8 at the age of 96 after a historic 70-year reign.
In the days that followed, Harry and Markle faced a series of difficulties.
The couple were invited – and later uninvited – to a state party for world and foreign leaders last Friday.
Page six only reported that they only found out about it after reading in the press about “rejection”.
Harry, who served 10 years in the military, was also initially unable to wear a military uniform to the queen’s funeral. However, King Charles eventually allowed his son to wear it on the watch.
Harry was stripped of his military titles when he stepped down as a working member of the royal family.
In his first statement about his grandmother, he said: “Grandma, although this last breakup brings us great sadness, I am always grateful for all our first meetings – from my earliest childhood memories to meeting you as my commander in chief, you met my beloved from the very first moment. your wife and you hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.
“I am enjoying the moments we shared with you and many other special moments between them. I miss you so much already.
