Keeping your distance.
Prince Harry reportedly rejected King Charles’ invitation to stay at the royal residence during his recent trip to London, according to the Sunday Times..
The Duke of Sussex, who lived at Frogmore Cottage with his wife Meghan Markle before stepping down from royal duties in 2020, decided to stay at the hotel, according to royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah.
Harry landed in the UK on May 7 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which took place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Paul.
He then confirmed through his representative that his dad would not be able to meet him during his almost four-day trip abroad.
“In response to numerous inquiries and ongoing speculation as to whether the Prince will meet his father this week while in the UK, unfortunately this will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesman for the father of two told Page Six May 7.
“The Prince obviously understands his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
Several insiders told Page Six that Harry also invited other members of the royal family to the games. However, they did not show up in the face of constant tension.
Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, remains out of the public eye as she undergoes cancer treatment.
As for Prince William, their feud goes even deeper, as we previously revealed that the brothers haven’t spoken to each other in over a year since the release of the prince’s 2023 memoir, Spare.
Meanwhile, Harry was welcomed with open arms by his mother, Princess Diana’s, family as several of them took part in the games.
Insiders told us he was embraced by his uncle Earl Spencer and aunt Lady Jane Fellowes at Wednesday’s ceremony.
