Prince William, Prince Harry “tries his best” to get along

Prince Harry has reportedly had a “difficult” time with Prince William during the past week.
The two brothers, who had been separated for many years, had been forced to spend time together since their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died on September 8.
A source close to Harry told the London Sunday Times that although being in company with one another was “inconvenient” for the brothers, “they all do their best.”
The 40-year-old Prince of Wales and the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex delighted royal fans last week when they appeared alongside their wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, watching floral tributes and cards presented in front of Windsor Castle in honor of the late Monarch.
The tour, however, was marked by awkward body language on both 41-year-old Markle and 40-year-old Middleton, who seemed uncomfortable when they reunited.
On Tuesday, the former Fab Four seemingly reunited as they sat down to dinner with other members of the royal family after receiving Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin.
On Saturday evening, they also stood guard – next to their cousins - at the coffin of the deceased monarch.
Prince Harry wore a military uniform after obtaining special permission from King Charles III. Previously, he had been forced to wear civilian clothes at public events since the Queen died of taking his military titles from him when he stepped down from his royal duties in 2020.
However, the prince was reportedly “devastated” when he discovered that his uniform had his grandmother’s initials “ER” torn off his shoulder.
“He’s heartbroken,” said a London Sunday Times friend. “Removing Grandma’s initials is very intentional.”
The two brothers also had a brief meeting earlier this week when William – who was collecting the children of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis from school – ran past his brother and Markle while they were in a separate car. They reportedly missed each other, but then stopped, backed away, and closed the windows for a little chat.
Despite this chance meeting, the truce seems temporary.
A friend of the brothers revealed that performing together “requires effort” and they both understood that it was necessary to show “solidarity”.
“I don’t think it goes far beyond that. There have been some awkward moments this week, ”said a source in the Sunday Times in London. “I definitely don’t feel any deeper, meaningful rapprochement or sense that this is it: things will be fixed.”
His brother’s relationship had been freezing since at least 2019, when Harry said in an interview that he and William were “certainly on different paths right now.”
Relationships waned even further when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who abandoned their royal life in 2020 and moved to California – sat down last year for a bombing interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Markle recently gave another interview in which she claimed that she and Harry were “upsetting the hierarchy … simply by being.”
She also fired a warning shot at the Palace, noting: “I never had to sign anything that would restrict my ability to speak … I have a lot to say until I do.”
Harry also has a diary coming out early next year that is rumored to be full of truth bombs.
“There are a lot of new stories about the past that Harry didn’t talk about before, about his childhood,” said one source, adding, “There is some content in there that should upset his family.”
Harry’s friends previously shared that although his brotherly relationship is still strict, he couldn’t have been happier or more fulfilled by the family dynamics of Markle and their children, Archie (3) and Lilibet (1).
Sources close to him also accused the aforementioned leaflet that his recent return to Britain and the royal family caused the pain of “regret at a missed opportunity for what could have been” and regret that “it did not have to be so ugly.” “.
