Until King Charles III was in London to officially declare him the new British monarch, his siblings and their families gathered outside Balmoral Castle, Scotland, the home where their mother Queen Elizabeth II died

On September 10, two days after her death at the age of 96, her youngest children Prince Andriy, Prince Edward and Princess Anna and several of her grandchildren were seen at a private church service across the river from their late mother’s last home.

Andriy joined his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess EugeniaEdward’s wife Sophie, Countess of Wessexand daughter Lady Louise Windsorand Anna’s husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence and children Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall were later seen greeting crowds of mourners waiting outside and admiring the large displays of flowers, gifts and notes dedicated to the Queen left outside Balmoral Castle.

It was Andrew’s second public appearance since he was stripped of his royal duties earlier this year due to his past friendship with a late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He was last seen in March at a ceremony honoring his late father and the Queen’s husband. Prince Philipwho died last year at the age of 99.
