Queen Elizabeth II is honored around the world as mourners pay their respects

Mourners came from all over the world to honor the legacy Queen Elizabeth II.

The British monarch has died at the age of 96, as confirmed by a statement released by the royal family on social media on September 8. “The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” they said in a statement. With reference to King Charles III and Queen Consort Camillathe statement said that “the King and Queen will remain at Balmoral this evening and return to London tomorrow”.

News of Her Majesty’s death came hours after Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement that doctors were “concerned” about the Queen’s health and advised her to “remain under medical supervision”. Following the development, including members of the royal family Prince Harry, Prince William and Prince Andriy went to Scotland to become the queen’s side.

Before her death, Queen Elizabeth II made history as the longest-reigning monarch in British history, marking 70 years on the throne with a platinum jubilee in June.
