Rachel Zegler reveals that she had a fear of breast cancer at the age of 19

Rachel Zegler gets real about his health.

The West Side Story star took to social media to share her experience with the breast cancer scare she faced when she was just 19.

“Two years ago I found a lump in my breast and went through what was without a doubt the scariest week of my life,” she wrote. Instagram Stories September 24. “No OB-GYNs were accepting new patients due to the pandemic, but I was fortunate enough to have a pediatrician in my care who scheduled me for an ultrasound that led to an outpatient biopsy procedure.”

Despite the serious situation, Rachel said everything went well and that the lump was “thankfully” benign.

Along with her message, the now 21-year-old shared a black-and-white photo of herself with a scar left over from the procedure. She said it “serves as a reminder to check my breasts regularly for irregular growth.”
