Robert Irwin says he will “always carry” his dad Steve’s legacy

“We have to create as much positive change as possible for our environment and also for our fellow citizens,” said the 18-year-old girl. “And just treating one with kindness, and I think he demonstrated that beautifully. And I will always feel so lucky that I had the most amazing dad in the world who was literally a superhero.”

And a month before Steve Irwin Day — the annual international event honoring his life and legacy on November 15 — Robert announced the release of his new photo book, Australia by Robert Irwin.

“This is a story of natural beauty, environmental upheaval and hope, told through my lens,” the photographer wrote on Instagram October 7. “This is a proud moment for me and a passion project that has been years in the making. Discover my perspective on this incredible country and how photography and conservation go hand in hand.”
