Roslyn Singleton, star of AGT and The Ellen Show, has died at the age of 39

Roslyn Singleton, who went viral for her emotional performances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “America’s Got Talent,” lost her battle with brain cancer on Tuesday. She was 39 years old.

Her husband, Ray Singleton, broke the news on Wednesday Instagram post.

“Our wife earned her wings last night by sleeping soundly in the house she wanted to be,” he wrote. “This road will be unbelievably long and difficult! She taught us all something.”

“She’s where we all try to be one day, so you don’t have to be sad! Now we celebrate her legacy, her influence, her history and her spirit! She will live forever,” added Singleton.

The couple rose to fame in 2020 when Ray uploaded a video of him serenading Daniel Caesar’s “Get You” to his wife before she went into surgery for brain cancer.

Although he recorded the video to “make her smile” after she got out of surgery, the newlyweds ended up on “The Ellen Show” and Ray even heard for the 16th season of “America’s Got Talent”.

His performance brought the venue to tears as Roslyn admitted she had “cryed since he started” singing.

The North Carolina Navy veteran was first diagnosed in 2013 with a tumor the size of an orange. She had been in remission for six years when she was diagnosed with another brain tumor.

The Singletons appeared earlier this year in the OWN documentary series Black Love, which explores love stories from the Black community.
