Sarah Ferguson calls the queen “the most amazing mother-in-law”

Sarah Ferguson says she will miss Queen Elizabeth II, her ex-mother-in-law, “more than words can express.”
The Duchess of York – who married the Queen’s son, Prince Andrew – wrote: Twitter statement after news broke on Thursday about the death of the monarch at the age of 96.
“I am devastated by the death of Her Majesty. It leaves an extraordinary legacy: the most fantastic example of duty, service and steadfastness, and a constant, stable presence as our head of state for over 70 years, ”she wrote.
Fergie, as she is affectionately known, also revealed that she felt the Queen’s gratitude, especially after her 1996 divorce.
“She gave her whole life selflessly to the people of Britain and the Commonwealth of Nations,” she wrote. “For me, she was the most amazing mother-in-law and friend. I will always be grateful to her for the generosity she showed me by staying close to me even after my divorce.
“I will miss her more than words can express,” concluded the Duchess sadly.
Ferguson, 62, married the Queen’s second son in 1986 and they have two children, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Despite their breakup, the couple stayed close and lived until 2004 in their family home, Sunninghill Park in Berkshire.
She was also a staunch defender of her ex-husband, who settled the lawsuit against Virginia Roberts Giuffre after she was forced to have sex with a prince at the age of 17 by the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and convicted of sex trafficking. Ghislaine Maxwell.
In an interview earlier this year, she described him as “such a nice, wonderful man.”
Ferguson also described the happiest day of her life as her wedding day, “when I married the best man in the world.”
