Serena Williams and her daughter add to their style at the US Open

Serena Williams and Alexis Olympia Ohanyan Jr. On August 29, she served up a sweet mother-daughter moment at the US Open.

The 40-year-old tennis star arrived at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York, wearing a black embellished bodice and branded Nike pencil skirt noting the sequins were “inspired by the night sky above center court.” The outfit also originally featured six layers to represent her six US Open singles titles, but as Serena said Gayle King in a post-match interview she “took four because it was too hard”.

Olympia twinned with her mom in the same ensemble as she cheered on from the stands alongside Serena’s husband Oleksiy Ohanyansister Isha Price and mother Oracen price. The 4-year-old also wore braids with white beads, just like Serena did when she won the US Open for the first time in 1999.

“It was either her or me,” Serena told reporters during the event post-match interview. “I wanted to do it, but I just didn’t have the time. She often asks to wear beads. It wasn’t really my idea, but I was so happy when they were on her. It’s perfect for her.”
