“Shahs of Sunset Mike Shouhed is breaking contract in violence case”
Accusations of domestic violence by Mike Shouhed will be dropped thanks to a deal he has with prosecutors.
The former Bravolebrity is about to enter a diversion program that will dismiss his domestic violence, beatings and unlawful attempt to deter the witness from the charges upon completion, according to court papers filed September 30 and obtained by Page Six.
Shouhed, 43, agreed to take classes in anger management and parenting as well as complete a gun safety and community service course. Nor can he possess a firearm until he completes the program.
Shouhed was arrested in March for allegedly getting into a physical argument with a woman later identified as his fiancée, Paulina Ben-Cohen.
“Paulina’s primary goal is to keep herself and her children safe,” Ben-Cohen’s attorney Joshua Ritter said in a statement to Page Six in July.
“She supports and continues to work with the police and the City Public Prosecutor’s Office, looking forward to giving up this sad situation and continuing with her life.”
About a week after Shouhed’s arrest, Bravo canceled “Sunset Chess” after nine seasons, and a source told us that it had become “too expensive to produce.” An expert on Ryan Seacrest Productions, however, claimed that the program simply “escaped”.
Another source then told Page Six that Shouhed and Ben-Cohen’s relationship had become “obscure.” She hasn’t published a photo of him since July.
TMZ Shouheda was the first to announce the transaction.
