Police were notified early Sunday morning that multiple people had been shot inside Kenny Wood Park in West Mifflin on Saturday night. The park is located in West Mifflin. In their rush to escape the gunfire, the officers suffered what police called “trampling injuries.” According to Allegheny County Police, three people were shot inside the park in the part of the park known as “Lost Kenny wood” located near the Music Express ride.

According to county police superintendent Christopher Kearns, the shootings occurred at approximately 10:50 p.m. in front of the Musik Express ride in the Lost Kennywood section of the park as a result of “an incident” between two group of young men. Police Investigation

On the grounds of Kennywood, police discovered a gun and reported their discovery.
