Sirhan Sirhan had been granted parole on 27 August 2021 in the case of killing Robert F Kennedy. The assassination happened on 6 June 1968 at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles where he shot Kennedy because he was angry as he thinks Kennedy supported Israel during the Middle East conflict. In fact, Robert’s two sons; Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Douglas Kennedy were supported Sirhan’s request to be released from prison on the 16th parole trial. He has serves 53 years in prison. The decision to grant parole is a subject of a 90-day review by the California Board of Parole Hearings after which Governor Gavin Newsom, has 30 days to grant, reverse, or modify the decision. After release from prison he met Douglas, he was moved into tears in guilt after what he had done.

Sirhan Bishara Sirhan was born on March 19, 1944, in Jerusalem, Mandatory Palestine into an Arab Palestinian Christian family. He attended a Lutheran school, after that at the age of 12 his family to New York and then to California. Then he went to Eliot Junior High School, later John Muir High School and Pasadena City College, in Pasadena. After some time, he alone returned to the middle east. He worked as a stable boy and trained to become a jockey but was abandoned after he had a head injury.
Sirhan was accused of the first-degree murder of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968. he admitted that he shot Robert and was sentenced to death in 1969. This punishment later turned into lifetime prison in 1972.
Douglas stated that he should be released if he is no threat to others. And Sirhan said he will live peacefully if he was released and never would again be put into the situation just like that. You have my pledge, I will look to safety and non-violence, peace.
