Snoop Dogg and T-Pain perform for angry fans in Vegas after the Lovers & Friends festival was canceled

Snoop Dogg and T-Pain saved the day.

On Saturday, the two rappers performed an impromptu concert at the Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World in Las Vegas after the Lovers & Friends music festival was canceled hours before the show.

Producers pulled the plug late Friday evening due to reports of severe weather.

“The organizers of the Lovers & Friends festival have been monitoring the weather for several days and are actively preparing for a windy Saturday,” they say shared on their website late Friday evening.

“However, the National Weather Service has now issued a high wind warning, including dangerous sustained winds of 30-35 mph with gusts potentially exceeding 60 mph.”

Festival organizers called the last-minute decision to cancel “extremely heartbreaking,” especially since fans were traveling from across the country and abroad.

The star-studded lineup also included Usher, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Ja Rule, Gwen Stefani and the Backstreet Boys.

On Saturday, Usher said he was as “disappointed” by the concert’s cancellation as his fans.

“Mannn… I’m as disappointed as you,” he wrote on Twitter. “We were getting ready to show up and celebrate today.”

However, “Yes!” the singer said that for everyone’s safety he must “follow the orders of city officials and the National Weather Service.”

The Super Bowl performer added that he is “strong” in his belief that “everything happens for a reason.”

“I’m sorry we won’t be seeing each other today, but know that I’m always working on something to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who continue to support me,” he said. “See you soon.”
