Normally, Days of Our Lives takes a break on Thanksgiving, but this year we have an episode to be thankful for. The soap will air a holiday-themed episode on Thanksgiving itself thanks to the transfer to Peacock!

Days of Our Lives is not interrupted by the devil in the 11/21/22 episode, although Charlie’s ghost may still be nearby.

Thanksgiving week promises petty behavior, revenge plots and a fiery car crash.

Storyline of the days of our lives

Since its premiere in 1965 on the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) network, the American television soap opera Days of Our Lives has aired nearly every weekday for most of its existence. The groundbreaking show won many Daytime Emmys and established itself as the mainstay of daytime television in the United States.

When it first premiered, Days of Our Lives focused on the troubled lives of the Horton family, who lived in the fictional Midwestern suburb of Salem. However, over the show’s long run, the sagas of other families such as the Bradys and the DiMeras were brought into play. The themes of love, family, marriage, adultery, divorce, sex and death are common in Days of Our Lives as in other soap operas. In many of the show’s ongoing storylines, people were either involved in drawn-out tragic love triangles or had secrets that could put them or their loved ones in danger.

There have been many cast changes throughout the show’s history, and many of the actors have left and then occasionally come back. Frances Reid, who played matriarch Alice Horton, was a permanent cast member of the show from its airing in 1993 until the end of 2007. She was one of the longest-lived performers. MacDonald Carey, who starred in many Hollywood films in the 1940s and 1950s, played the role of Alice’s husband, Dr. Tom Horton, and for many years was the main attraction for many viewers of the soap opera.

The show was initially praised for its relatively realistic portrayal of American families and for its willingness to address controversial issues; However, as the series progressed, more action-oriented narratives were shown alongside elements of the supernatural. It has a fan base that spans the globe and has ranked first during the lunchtime slot and bottom in the ratings at various points in its history. What happened to Marlena?

Since the first episode of Days of Our Lives aired in 1976, Marlena Evans has been one of the main characters of the series and has been at the center of Stefano DiMera’s passion for many years. Much like many soap opera villains, Stefano’s machinations wouldn’t look out of place among those of comic book supervillains and stories. This plan damaged Marlena’s mind and opened the door for the devil to get inside. He tried to force Marlena to love him with hypnosis, but it was unsuccessful.

Her obsession first manifested in disturbing dreams, but they went full force in 1994. When possessed, Marlena had several distinctive traits, including instances of her floating off the bed and a pair of yellow contact lenses that indicated when the devil was in control of her body. During the time Marlena was possessed, she caused great destruction in Salem by chaining people to change and disrupting weddings. Although Satan’s primary focus was Marlena, he also attempted to seduce many other individuals with varying degrees of success.

Her rescue was facilitated by Stefano DiMera’s various schemes directed against Marlena and the Brady family. John Black, who was once associated with Marlena, got involved with her because they believed he was her husband, Roman Brady, but he had amnesia. John Black was one of Marlena’s love interests. After the honest Roman returned, John and Marlena found out the truth: John had been working for Stefano all along.

Around the time Marlena was in his hands, John found out that he had been a priest before Stefano interfered in his life. Marlena was eventually released after the exorcism he performed, made possible because he had previously served as a priest.

Thanksgiving isn’t a typical air date for an episode of Days of Our Lives, but we should be thankful that one was scheduled this year. Due to the move to the Peacock network, the soap opera will air a Thanksgiving episode on the actual holiday!

There will be no interruptions from the devil for the week of November 21-22 on Days of Our Lives, but we may have yet to see the last of Charlie’s ghost.

The days leading up to Thanksgiving are sure to be filled with petty behavior, revenge plots, and a fiery car crash.

Spoilers for Days of Our Lives

Since the show moved to Peacock, Days of Our Lives has grown into a major car wreck through tease after tease, even going so far as to stitch clips together in a way that gave the impression Jennifer was to blame for the disaster.

That turned out to be incorrect, as we now know. Instead, the conflict between Ava and EJ will come to an explosive conclusion this week.

Instead of ending this stupid revenge plan by kidnapping Susan, Ava gives in to Ghost Charlie’s wishes and threatens to kill the scariest character in Days of Our Lives. EJ will pursue Ava and Susan which will result in a collision that could be fatal.

With Ava being mentioned in spoilers next week, we know she does. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Susan will also have a miracle cure.

There has been excessive killing and damage in Salem and we have only about a month before the late John Aniston’s final appearance as Victor Kiriakis is televised.

While viewers are very divided over Susan’s odd behavior, it would be overkill to undress EJ’s mother, especially since Abigail and Jake both recently died horrifically.

Susan’s death explained in “Days of Our Lives”

In addition, Susan is a character that can be considered a legacy. Susan is the only one of Eileen Davidson’s characters who continues to appear regularly (although Davidson took on the role of Thomas Banks in Beyond Salem 2!). However, the other actress was replaced. Eileen Davidson became famous for playing several different characters throughout her career.

It doesn’t seem like killing Susan would be worth the commotion it would entail. Even without that, EJ is capable of being angry and vengeful. Also, it would be a more satisfying act of revenge if Susan survived, but Ava hid her somewhere.

And recently it has been shown that nobody in Salem stays dead permanently unless it’s the actor portraying them, meaning that this surprise death wouldn’t have the impact it was intended to have.

Days of Our Lives: Alex and Justin come to Bonnie’s rescue

We have Bonnie’s relatives to thank for spotting her in the shed. I was afraid they would drag this out because Friday’s reveal of Alex and Justin happened off-screen.

If Susan hadn’t already been in the car or hid somewhere else, this exciting chase would not have been necessary and the story would have had a different ending.

The boys will likely have trouble convincing Bonnie to tell the beans about what happened. At least we no longer have to listen to Susan and Bonnie continue their psychic conversation!
