With the release of Chucky Season 2, fans can finally catch up with Jake, Devon and Lexy after narrowly escaping an army of murderous Chucky dolls. Returning to Hackensack for the season two opener titled Halloween II isn’t entirely pleasant as the teens suffer from acute PTSD. Also, Charles Lee Ray, the violent serial killer who resides in the Chucky dolls, is still hiding in the shadows. Chucky Season 2 Episode 1 Summary

The aftermath of Andy’s stealing the truck full of Chucky dolls is shown at the beginning of the second season’s first episode, “Halloween II.” However, the Tiffany doll threatens to shoot him. Andy attempts to kill all of the dolls by driving the vehicle off a cliff during the ensuing altercation while distracting Chucky. Jake, meanwhile, moves to a new foster family. He leaves Hackensack and says goodbye to Devon. The narrative then skips six months and Jake now resides in Salem, New Jersey. He lives two hours from Hackensack and has a younger foster brother named Gary.

Jake’s foster family forbids him from visiting Devon on Halloween night in Hackensack. Meanwhile, a gift is delivered to Lexy and Caroline, and the bearer resembles Chucky. A video call of the delivery comes in to Devon and Jake. The girls become aware that Chucky may be roaming their house after Devon calls the police. They ask that the police take care of them until their mother comes home. Caroline’s pediophobia, or fear of dolls, is revealed when Lexy and Caroline later go to counseling. Caroline gets a brand new doll from the therapist Belle.

After the session, the girls go home and Caroline is warned by Lexy not to believe dolls. Jake travels to Hackensack to see Devon while Gary trick-or-treats with him. When the boys visit Lexy to see how she is doing, they find that Caroline has taken a liking to Belle. Lexy tells the boys that after the scare about the present, it’s probably just a joke. The group gained local notoriety after the events in Hackensack, and now someone is playing a trick on them. Lexy leaves the room and swallows several pills, admitting to being a drug addict. Meanwhile, Gary comes to Lexy’s house. He is holding a Chucky doll, which shocks Jake and Devon.

When Chuky visits Lexy’s house, Jake and Devon realize they’re in serious trouble. The show’s first scene features Andy and the Chucky dolls descending a chasm. Andy probably believed that if he surrendered himself, all Chucky dolls would be destroyed. However, Chucky’s appearance suggests that Andy’s sacrifice may have been in vain. There are still several replica serial killer dolls lying around ready to terrorize the teens again.

Chucky explains that he planned the episode’s events to unite Jake, Devon, and Lexy. At the end of the first season, the teenagers foiled the doll’s plan. They also severely damaged Chucky’s cult. As a result, Chucky comes with a special beef. Chucky plans to use a bomb to murder the group of people at once. But before he can detonate the bomb, he has to wait for Lexy to come out of the toilet. Chucky doesn’t get distracted by Jake or Devon before Lexy enters the room.

Even though Lexy is high, she manages to distract Chucky when she comes back. Young Gary is briefly distracted enough to spring into action and steal the explosives. Gary hides the bomb in the kitchen. However, Chucky triggers it and kills the boy. Gary makes the ultimate sacrifice to protect Jake, Devon and Lexy. The youngsters are in more danger than ever, despite surviving the bomb blast.

In the final seconds of the episode, Jake, Devon and Lexy find themselves in the midst of yet another gruesome murder. Her killer doll story was rejected by everyone, leaving the authorities to decide her future. After a discussion, the detective investigating the case and Lexy’s therapist realize they need extra care. The trio is then sent to a school for problematic children.

Arriving at the school, Jake, Lexy and Devon finish the episode. The place is none other than the nursing home where Charles Lee Ray grew up. Before Charles Lee Ray manifested his violent tendencies on the grounds, the mansion served as a boarding school for orphans. As a result, Jake, Devon, and Lexy will likely feel uncomfortable in their new surroundings.

Chucky season 2 cast speculation

The entire cast of Chucky from Season 1 is expected to return in Season 2. These include Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Alex Vincent, Teo Briones and of course Brad Dourif as the killer doll of the same name.

Although Devon Sawa was killed off in Season 1, he is also expected to return in Season 2 in an undisclosed role alongside Jennifer Tilly, who will return as Tiffany. A few new faces will also make an appearance, most notably Lachlan Watson, who will play Glen/Glenda Chucky and Tiffany’s gendered child, who we last saw in Seed of Chucky.
