The author slapped Taylor Swift with a copyright infringement lawsuit, claiming that the pop singer had defrauded her book.

Teresa La Dart sued Swift for over a million dollars, claiming that the singer had copied the 2010 volume of poetry “Lover” published by the author, into the booklet accompanying the album “Lover” from 2019.

In a complaint filed in Tennessee federal court on August 23, La Dart accused the performer of “All Too Well” of tearing off her volume of “poems, anecdotes, and photos.”

The lawsuit implied that someone on the Swift team had seen the La Dart book and decided to repeat the “vibe and design” of the book. reports The Daily Mail. Skarga argued that not only both works have the same title, but each is “a memory of the past years commemorated in a combination of written and pictorial elements.”
