Teresa Giudice criticized for wearing Balenciaga amid brand controversy
Fans are calling out Teresa Giudice for wearing Balenciaga in a controversy against the fashion brand for posting deleted campaign photos of children holding BDSM teddy bears.
The 50-year-old ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star posed for several photos in a white Balenciaga tag printed sweater with her husband Louie Ruelas by her side during their trip to Paris.
Photo that Ruelas posted on Instagram on Friday, she immediately drew negative attention from fans who called Giudice to get rid of the brand.
“We love you, but burn that balenciaga!!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮,” one user wrote.
“@teresagiudice love you but please don’t endorse this brand. You’ll see why, it’s disturbing,” someone else chimed in.
“I love you Tre, but take off that sweater!” another user added.
“Balenciaga… AWESOME, another person to unfollow! You do realize that there is a normalization of child bondage, right? Is everything OK? Shameful! DON’T FOLLOW! [sic]– someone else wrote.
Giudice did not comment on the objection, and her representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The reality TV star is among other celebrities who have kept quiet about the controversy.
Kim Kardashian – who has been one of Balenciaga’s biggest supporters for years – is also silent despite fans are bombarding the comment sections pictures of her, begging her to take care of it.
Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Christine Quinn, Alexa Demie and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family are among the other celebrities who have been punished for not talking about the situation.
Some celebrities – such as ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Lala Kent – have spoken out against the designer brand.
The campaign received an immediate backlash to the campaign, which also appeared to include court records on child pornography laws.
Popular celebrity brand apologized and “removed the campaign from all platforms” on Tuesday.
Balenciaga wrote on her Instagram that they “strongly condemn the exploitation of children in any form” and stated that her superiors had already “taken legal action against the parties responsible for creating the kit and including unapproved elements.”
