Teresa Knowlton was the first victim of The Serpent – Charles Sohbraj. It was Sohbraj’s recognized first homicide and he confessed it in many interviews as well.

Teresa Knowlton was born on 18 February 1954 in San Pedro, California U.S. At the time of her demise, she was just 21 years and based in Seattle. The American woman Teresa was born to Robert Lucian Knowlton and Loretta May Lorio. She had three siblings: Two brothers Robert and Ronald Knowlton and a sister Yolanda Knowlton. Teresa’s zodiac sign was Aquarius.
In the year 1975 in October, she was travelled on the way to Kathmandu to Observe Tibetan Buddhism at Kopan Monastery and wanted to become a nun.
Case Study- Teresa Knowlton’s Murder
Most of the victims of Sohbraj’s were spent some time before their death. In his crime series, her crime partner was Ajay Chowdhury, considered as her neighbour too. Sohbraj fascinates people by showing his financial wealth to them that he earned from series of scams, drug dealing and smugglings. Sohbraj and Teresa met each other in a lush party that was thrown by Sohbraj himself in his Bangkok apartment. In 1975, on October 18, Teresa’s was found by a farmer floating in a tidal pool in the Gulf of Thailand. At that time, she was seen wearing a flowering bikini. For this case, Charles was called The Bikini Killer. Most of the victims’ murders are overdoses of drugs claimed Sohbraj but the investigators’ police state that the victims threaten him for exposing his crimes.
Autopsy Report And Investigation
When the body of Teresa found it was believed that it was accidental drowning death but later some months her autopsy report revealed that her head held submerged in water by someone until her death. There are many theories according to investigations some claims that Sohbraj knew she check in Hotel Malaysia, where his crime fellow Ajay Chowdhury was sent by Charles to have convinced her to his apartment in Bangkok. Others claim that while serving refreshments she was drugged and stripped down to a bikini. And another claimed that both Charles and Teresa went out to a bar for drinks, where she was drugged.
Then Charles and Ajay took her in his car to Pattaya Beach where Ajay was inviting her to swim and drowned her. It is unclear why Charles murdered Teresa, but the Dutch diplomat Herman Knippenberg claims that she refused to join in her crimes and become a smuggler that’s why the reason for killing Teresa.
Charles Sohbraj ultimately confessed that he killed an American woman in an interview, saying,
“The California woman. She was drunk and Ajay introduced her to Kanit Home. We know about her, you see. We Knew he was concerned within heroine. I killed her as a result of she was involved in drugs.”
