A DJ is at the door.
Michael Fishmanwho acted as a DJ in all 10 seasons Roseanne and all four seasons of the spin-off Connerswon’t return until season five in the fall.
“It was an honor to play DJ Conner,” Fishman said People. “Every actor dreams of being a series regular, especially on a groundbreaking show where we touch on important topics. Being able to star in comedies and dramas alongside iconic cast mates while reaching fans in meaningful ways has had a profound impact on my life.”
Fishman got the role of a DJ Roseanne in October 1988. While no immediate reason for Fishman’s departure was given, E! News has learned that the series is leaving the door open for possible guests in the future.
“I am proud of the work I did in the team Roseanne and ConnersFishman continued. “It’s especially a privilege to play a military veteran, an interracial couple, and the father of a biracial child, portrayed by an amazing Jayden Ray.”
Ray, who plays the DJ’s daughter Mary, will still return as a series regular for season five.
In addition, regular members of the cast John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sarah Gilbert and Leci Goranson returns are also expected.
