Fans Derry Girls now has an official premiere date for the comedy’s third and final season on Netflix. The third season, which already premiered in April 2022 in the UK, is set to premiere internationally on the streamer in October.
Netflix confirmed the news, wrote on Twitter on August 31“It will be so hard to say goodbye…The last season of our beloved Derry Girls coming October 7 on Netflix (outside the UK and Ireland).”

However, ending in Derry Girls comes as no surprise to fans as the show’s creator Lisa McGee announced the final season of the show back in September. “We always planned to say goodbye after three episodes,” the screenwriter explained at the time. Later she called Derry Girls “a love letter to the place I come from and the people who shaped me.”
