Daniel Fishel shared a secret she’s been keeping since playing Topanga Lawrence A boy meets the world. the 41-year-old revealed during the August 24 episode The pod meets the world podcast“I was in love with Rider [Strong].”
This crush may be news to fans now, but it was also a big revelation for Ryder himself. “That’s not true,” he replied. “You never told me that.”
Well, Danielle confirmed it. “It’s too true,” she assured him. “I was in love with you.”
As for when she especially took a liking to her colleague? She recalled, “I think it started maybe later in the first season and definitely in the second.”
Looking back on her childhood sweetheart, Danielle, who is now married to Jensen Karp— shared that Ryder piqued her interest.
“You know one of my favorite things about Ryder, and it’s still true to this day: Ryder is very passionate,” she said. “He’ll tell you how he feels, and he’s very free with his compliments, but he doesn’t throw them around.”
