The Little Mermaid: Watch Holly Bailey Sing ‘Part of Your World’

After a long wait, Disney has finally dropped the first ever live-action version of its long-awaited sequel little mermaid. The 83-second video, which debuted during the D23 Expo on September 9, featured the main star Holly Bailey as Ariel—wearing a purple shell bra, green mermaid tail, and the iconic character’s signature red hair—singing a few lines from one of the most beloved tunes from the movie, Part of Your World.

“Out of the sea, wish I could be,” sings Hallie as the camera opens to reveal her sitting inside a cave filled with many gadgets and gizmos, “part of that world.”

Elsewhere in the teaser, viewers saw Ariel’s underwater friends, including blink-and-you’ll-miss-it fish friend Flounder, voiced by Room actor Jacob Tremblay.

Director Rob Marshall, little mermaid also stars Melissa McCarthy like Ursula Javier Bardem like king triton David Diggs as sebastian Aquafina like Scuttle and Jonah Hower-King like Prince Eric. The film opens in theaters on May 26, 2023.
