During the countdown to its debut on September 2, 2022, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will gradually introduce fans to new characters who could become regulars in the series. Fans will also be able to see some of JRR Tolkien’s most revered elves, such as Galadriel and Elrond, appearing alongside these new faces.

Viewers and commentators sit on the edge of their seats in anticipation as characters are subtly revealed without revealing much. Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle and Benjamin Walker make up the show’s illustrious cast. The most recent character to join the series is the non-canon Bronwyn. In an interview with Collider, actress Nazanin Boniadi described her character as “kind of an outsider because she’s so strong-willed and strong-willed, a single mom, and she’s in this illicit romance with an elf.”

Who is Bronwyn?

A “secret healer” is Bronwyn. She is a single mother from Tirharad who gets involved in an illegal relationship. Even the most devoted fans struggle to find adequate content and background information about Bronwyn to better understand her character. The Persona was created specifically for the television show The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. We are also introduced to her son Theo, played by Tyroe Muhafidin. Like his mother, Theo avoids his past and his motivations. Bronwyn is expected to begin a romantic relationship with Silvan Elf Arondir, portrayed by Ismael Cruz Códova. From the short introduction we have it’s hard to tell if Bronwyn and Theo are elves or humans.

Who plays Bronwyn in The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power?

Nazanin Boniadi, a British-Iranian performer, plays the role of Bronwyn. According to a Vogue source, the actor was intrigued to be part of Tolkien’s unique fantasy universe because he’s a longtime fan. She was first introduced to the popular Peter Jackson film adaptations of The Lord of the Rings, so Boniadi claims it’s strange being a part of the new television spinoff. After getting the job I did extensive research on Tolkien’s love of myth and fantasy and Middle-earth [where LOTR is located], She explains. It is impossible not to fall in love with fairy tales after reading his essay “On Fairy Tales”.

Nazanin has acted in many other films besides The Lord of the Rings: The Power Rings, including Homeland and Hotel Mumbai. Nazanin has emphasized and shared her personal opinions on the different facets of the role she is set to play. She paid special attention to Bronwyn’s exclusion, which fosters strength and loneliness. She also offered comment on the development of Bronwyn and the Elf’s illicit relationship. Nazanin also spoke about how and in what ways she identified with the character she plays. While Bronwyn is a healer on a mission to atone for past sins, Nazanin was a medical student and human rights activist.
