Sherri Shepherd wants to inspire and make viewers laugh when her new daily talk show with the same name debuts this fall. And we hear it will be taking hints from the previous talk show Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

“He brings comedy back to TV… What he plans to do on the show is take Ellen and Oprah and put it together. It will be a fun, inspiring show, ”he told Page Six.

Shepherd and her team chat with leading columnists from coast to coast ahead of its big premiere.

On Wednesday at Ink 48 in New York, she organized a mixer with leading agencies such as PMK and Jonesworks, whose clients include Tom Brady and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The event attracted TV chiefs Frank Cicha and GM Fox 5, Lew Leone, who will host her show in New York. We hear that the tone and Pulitzer-winning playwright Michael R. Jackson even dropped by to meet Shepherd.

Shepherd also hosted a similar event in Los Angeles last month with executives from Amazon and Interscope.

“Sherri made sure she spoke to every publicist who was present. She did the same in LA, literally in everyone – in all networks and record labels “- shared the initiate.

Earlier this month, we caught Shepherd skating on his way to Madonna’s favors at a party the pop icon hosted at Nile Rodger’s DiscOasis in Central Park.

“There’s nothing like ice skating and feeling the wind in a wig,” she joked in an Instagram video. And although she didn’t get a chance to talk to Madge, “I planted a seed for her to come to my program,” she said.

People will be watching on September 12 to see if Shepherd’s schmoozefest is paying off.
