“Personally, I want to apologize to you. I don’t know what just happened when I screamed, but I just lost my voice, ”he explained.
“It kills me. I don’t want to interrupt the show. But I can’t give you the concert I want to give you now. I’m going to make sure everyone is good … But I wanted to go out and apologize personally, not tweet, Instagram or whatever.”
He continued telling the fans, “But I want you to know that I cannot give you what I want to give you. … I’m so sorry. I love you people. Thank you very much.”
The Weeknd later moved to Instagram, writing, “My voice has stopped during the first song and I’m devastated.”
He added, “I felt it go away and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise to reward you with a new date.
