Nicki Minaj, L.L. Cool J and Jack Harlow hosted the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday, August 28. From the Moon Person trophies to the star-studded fashion and performances, the award show was truly a mismatch.

In terms of some of the night’s big winners, Harry Styles won in the nomination “Album of the Year”, Taylor Swift took home the video of the year trophy and Billie Eilish received the title “Song of the Year”. In addition, Bad rabbit was recognized as artist of the year, BTS was named Group of the Year and Dove Cameron was named Best New Artist. Minaj also received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award red hot chili pepper received the “Global Icon” award.

Regarding performances, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Lizzo, J. Balvin, Kane Brown, Panic! On the disco, BLACKPINK, Anita, Måneskin, Marshmello x KhalidMinaj, Harlow and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were among the artists who took the stage, while Bad Bunny also performed from Yankee Stadium in New York.
