“I was hesitant to spend that much money on a pair of shoes to walk my dog, but I have constant pain from plantar fasciitis in my right heel and it’s preventing me from being as active as I want to be. I was in constant pain 24/7, even sitting down. It was unbearable and I just couldn’t take it anymore. I joined a Facebook support group and tons of people recommended these shoes. I was willing to try anything at that point, so I took advantage of the try-before-you-buy program to see how they fit me. I could feel the difference as soon as I put them on! The most noticeable difference is that this particular shoe gives your foot a pronounced forward angle, taking the constant pressure off your heel and moving the impact forward onto the sole of your foot. It brought instant relief! In addition, I purchased some Dr. insoles. Scholls Plantar Fasciitis before to use in another shoe and I noticed that the insoles in this shoe are almost identical in thickness and shape to those, except that the ones in these shoes have even higher arch support. I can walk in them and not feel like I’m walking on stones under my heel. When I sit, there is no constant, throbbing pain that continues. I felt relief from the first day I put them on and it gradually got better. So I didn’t even need the full 7 day trial to know they were gold! Therefore, if you have such a problem with your foot, rest assured that these shoes will help you to relieve the discomfort. Also, I have a very narrow foot and was pleasantly surprised that this brand sells a narrow width. My narrow (and thin from top to bottom) foot is usually pretty hard to get a good fit in any type of shoe, but these are adorable! This was my first Brooks purchase, but I will definitely be back again when I need to replace these shoes. I highly recommend them! I’m also pleasantly surprised that such a strong, supportive shoe is so light. I didn’t expect them to be so airy, but they’re really great for everyday wear.”

I also have the standard women’s Brooks Ghost 14 in Aqua. Bought a black wide pair on Amazon to compare. The aqua color is great too, also ran 5k a few times.

“Amazon offers these shoes in a variety of widths and lengths. I ordered the long (size 11) narrow size because another reviewer mentioned good arch support. My shoes arrived two days ago and fit perfectly. They support my high arches perfectly and the narrow size works well for my feet. They’re attractive, sturdy, and seem well made. I’m glad Amazon sells them. My hard-to-place feet are happy, too. :)”
