Tia Mowry is “always in survival mode” as a new single mom
Tia Mowry is still considering how to balance her life as a single mother while also finding time for herself after parting ways with Cory Harddict in October.
The Sister, Sister star spoke frankly of “learning to be present” with 11-year-old son Cree and 4-year-old daughter Cairo, having no one to help.
“I feel like, especially as a mom wearing so many different hats, I’m always in survival mode”, 44-year-old said the People in an article posted on Friday.
“I always make sure everyone is fine, everyone is alive, everyone is healthy, everyone is fed, and I make sure everyone is well, with no holes in their socks and so on.”
Even amidst her hectic new normality, Mowry, who has focused on self-love and “setting boundaries” since filing for divorce, said she was trying to focus on living in the moment.
“It’s about learning how to be aware of and presenting yourself to yourself, as well as getting in touch and making sure that I also care about me. [Because] how can you look after other people if your cup is not full? ” she said to the socket.
Mowry, 42, and Hardic shocked fans last month when they announced that they would be parting ways after 14 years of marriage.
“These decisions are never easy and they are not without sadness. We will maintain friendship as we give birth to our beautiful children ”- actress wrote on Instagram next to the old black and white photo of both.
“I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and I want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we enter this new chapter in our lives.”
Although Mowry has faced an “outburst of love” from social media users, many speculated that the All American: Homecoming star had betrayed Mowry – which he vehemently denied, calling the allegations a “lie.”
The couple, who met as students at Pepperdine University in 1999, stated the reason for the divorce was “irreconcilable differences” in documents obtained by Page Six.
