Tina Knowles supports Kelly Rowland after incident at Cannes Film Festival

Kelly Rowland may not be Tina Knowles’ biological daughter, but she will always be her girlfriend.

Beyoncé’s mother took to Instagram on Thursday to express support for Rowland after the former Destiny’s Child member made headlines for berating a security guard at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

“And just like that, @kellyrowland graces yet another carpet with her amazing, gorgeous beauty, class and grace!!!! She’s sipping champagne and living her best life❤️❤️❤️❤️”, Knowles, 70, he captioned the video singer posing for photos before the amfAR gala in Cannes.

“It just goes to show you stupid monkey keep showing up!!! towards bigger and better things❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

Knowles tagged Evan Ross and Joe Jonas, whom Rowland interacted with in the clip.

While walking the same red carpet, Rowland, 43, talked about the incident that took place on Tuesday before the premiere of “Marcello Mio.”

“This woman knows what happened. I know what happened. I have a boundary and I stick to it,” the singer told AP News.

“There were other women who participated on this carpet, but they didn’t quite look like me and they weren’t reprimanded, pushed or told to get off,” she added. “I had my way and she felt like she had to get her way. But I stood my ground.”

The altercation in question occurred when Rowland was walking up the stairs and a security guard raised her hand behind the star, apparently leading her away from the crowd and into the concert hall.

The woman wearing black pants also seemed to be saying something.

Whatever happened, Rowland didn’t like it and immediately turned to face the employee.

The musician grimaced, raised his left index finger and admonished the woman in front of everyone.

The woman seemed stunned when she spoke.

A lip reader told Page Six that the argument started innocently when a security guard accidentally stepped on Rowland’s dress.

We’re told the Grammy winner initially replied to the woman, “Don’t worry,” but her mood quickly changed.

“Don’t talk to me like that. Don’t talk to me like that,” Rowland repeated, according to our expert. “You’re not my mother. I told you not to talk to me like that.

It is unclear what the employee said to upset the singer as the former had her back to the cameras.

“This woman knows what happened. I know what happened. I have a boundary and I stick to it,” the singer said after the argument.

Still irritated, when she reached the top of the stairs, Rowland turned and shouted, “Still don’t talk to me like that.”

Meanwhile, a source told the Daily Mail that it was the woman who “sold Kelly and told her to move [the latter] He tried to wave to the fans and help the paparazzi take a photo.”

The insider added that the singer “wanted to draw a clear line” with the security guard.

“She doesn’t care if she comes across as a diva as long as she knows she’s representing herself,” the source explained. “She’s not fake.”
