Tinsley Mortimer seems to be hard to come by with Bravo
It looks like Bravo and Tinsley Mortimer are doing some kind of casting dance.
About a week ago, sources told Page Six that Mortimer – who starred on “Real Housewives of New York City” from season 9 to season 12 – had no interest in returning to the show for a new so-called “Legacy” series. , which brings back fan favorites from previous seasons.
Sources told us that the well-known socialite found peace and happiness in Palm Beach, Florida, and was not interested in returning to the Big Apple to wrestle again on a reality show.
But it seems something has changed.
Now we’re hearing from Bravo sources that talks are indeed tentative with the former “High Society” star, and sources close to Tins have changed their tone as well.
Last week, two of Mortimer’s confidants left no doubt that she had finished the show. But on Wednesday, a source close to her seemed to suggest that the door had opened, timidly telling us: “Tinsley is now happy to lead a private life, but when the right opportunity to return to television arises, it will be considered. “.
Forgive our cynicism over the holiday season, but it sounds a bit like “when enough zeros appear in Bravo’s offer, a deal will be considered.”
Bravo said in March that it was reviewing the original “Real Housewives of New York City” with an all-new cast while “Legacy” would be added to the schedule.
As reported, the network shortlist for the Legacy cast includes Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, and one or two others.
At the time, Mortimer seemed unstoppable. But perhaps we haven’t heard the last of Tins yet.
We also reported that veteran cast member Ramona Singer would not be returning.
Mortimer left the show to move to Chicago with Scott Kluth, the fiancé of the coupon king. But Kluth called it off, leaving Mortimer both jobless and manless.
Prior to becoming a reality TV star, Mortimer was a fixture on Page Six, partly due to her former relationship with New York society with ex-husband Topper Mortimer.
Representatives declined to comment.
