TJ Miller Will No More Work With Ryan Reynolds: “He Hates Me”

TJ Miller says he won’t work with Ryan Reynolds anymore, claiming that his former partner on Deadpool was “horribly mean” to him when he starred in a superhero movie.

In a new interview with “Adam Corolla’s show” podcast, the actor confirmed that he would not appear in Deadpool 3 after the “really strange” interaction he had with Reynolds during the filming of the second installment of the series.

Will I work with him again? No, I don’t want to work with him anymore, ”explained Miller, who played close friend of Deadpool Weasel.

When host Adam Corolla asked 41-year-old Miller if he and 45-year-old Reynolds had stayed close after starring in the 2016 blockbuster and its 2018 sequel, the comedian stated that the success of the first film “changed” his ex-partner.

“I got on much better with him in the first Deadpool because he wasn’t a big, big movie star,” explained Miller, noting that he still loved Reynolds “as a comedian.”

The “Silicon Valley” graduate called Reynolds “a kind of insecure guy” and remarked that “it’s weird that he hates me” before describing the tense moment that allegedly occurred during the filming.

“We had a really weird moment in Deadpool where he said,” Let’s take another shot. ” And then, as a hero, he was horribly mean to me, like I was a Weasel. So he said, “You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not a star, but you do enough exposure to be fun and then we can go out and get back to the real movie, ”Miller said of the alleged interaction.

He later described the alleged incident as “not a great experience for me” and recalled that crew members were unsure how to respond.

Although Miller made it clear that he had no intention of returning to the series on his own, the actor hinted that he was not asked to return.

“I wouldn’t do Deadpool 3 if they came to me and said, ‘We want you to do Deadpool 3 and we’ll pay you twice as much,” he said.

“I think [Reynolds] he should have done Deadpool 3 and continued shooting movies. I just think he doesn’t like me and thought it’s strange how he put it. I’m in such a place in my life that I don’t have to play Deadpool 3, “continued Miller, who said he did not believe in playing the same role” for over five years. ”

Reynolds’ reps did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Miller, known for his role as Erlich on HBO’s “Silicon Valley,” previously faced his own allegations.

In 2018, Miller denied that co-star Alice Wetterlund claimed he was a bully on the set of a comedy series.
