Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen took a family course before her divorce
We put children first.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen completed the “Parent Education and Family Stabilization” course before finalizing their divorce on Friday.
According to court papers obtained by Page Six on Friday, the 45-year-old NFL star completed the four-hour course on October 25, and his ex-supermodel, 42, graduated on October 26.
The Bündchen certificate states that classes were “required”.
Behind Florida LawSeparating and Divorcing Parents must take this course as it aims to educate, train and help parents with the effects of divorce on parents and children.
Brady and Bündchen have two biological children: 12-year-old Benjamin and 9-year-old Vivian. The quarterback superstar also has a 15-year-old son, Jack, from a previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen filed for divorce on Friday after 13 years of marriage, citing that the relationship was “irretrievably broken” according to court documents.
Documents also show that the former couple have entered into a marriage settlement that will remain confidential.
Both sides made statements on social media shortly after news of their divorce surfaced.
Bündchen wrote on her Instagram: “My priority has always been and will always be our children whom I love with all my heart.
“We parted ways and although it is obviously difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we spent together and I always wish Tom the best.”
Brady added in his own Instagram statement that he and his ex-wife had made a “painful and difficult” decision “after much thought.”
“We only wish ourselves the best as we continue with new chapters in our lives that have yet to be written,” he concluded.
Page Six revealed in September that Bündchen got into an “epic fight” with Brady over alleged family neglect by a seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Someone from within told us then, “Gisele was always the one with the kids. They agreed that he would retire to focus on his family, and then he changed his mind. “
Sources told Page Six shortly after Brady focused on being a “supertata” for all three children in the midst of his marital misfortunes.
Earlier this week, Bündchen was spending time with Vivian and Benjamin on a pumpkin slice a few days before filing for divorce.
