Tom Ford, June Ambrose and Vogue are closing the first stylish NYFW in years

This month’s New York Fashion Week ended as strikingly – and starry – as it began.
Christian Siriano started NYFW early with Janet Jackson sitting in the front row at her gig, and Tom Ford officially ended the week with VIPs including Madonna, Katie Holmes, Chris Rock and Erykah Badu sitting in the front row on Wednesday.
The spy told us that Holmes was “very involved in the conversation” with her buddy Rock, and that Madonna “looked intense” with her daughter Lourdes and son Rocco.
Basketball star Russell Westbrook was also present on stage, talking to everyone and “being a social butterfly,” another source told us.
“He talked about how he is training for the new season and the upcoming Vegas poker tournament,” a source told us.
His Vegas poker tournament will be held at the Wynn Hotel over the weekend and will raise money for his Why Not Foundation. We hear that he is bidding two places on the floor to fight Canelo Alvarez. But let’s go back to fashion!
The Blonds staged their show at Spring Studios and brought out original downtown stars such as Susanne Bartsch, Amanda Lepore and Dianne Brill, who was later spotted watching Maison Blanche by Yannik Zamboni in an alley on Canal Street.
On Tuesday, longtime Jay-Z stylist June Ambrose picked up Puma’s cool factor when she debuted 40 exclusive clothes she designed for the brand at their first fashion show. Missy Elliott, Babyface, Ari Lennox, Olivia Palermo, and Winnie Harlow are some of the famous faces that have stuck to this one.
Richie Akiva hosted the Puma Futrograde after party at The Ned NoMad Magic Room, where Jared Leto, G-Eazy, Christian Comba Skepta and Houston rapper Bun B.
Mayor Eric Adams attended the Michael Kors show, sitting in the front row with Serena Williams, Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour, who took over the Meatpacking District with her Vogue World party earlier this week. Rapper Lil Nas X was a surprise during this show. We hear he ended up in the Boom Boom Room and even had a tarot card reading with the mystical drag queen Kiki Slugqueen at The Summer Plaza on The Standard, High Line.
“He put a shoe, a soft toy and a garage door opener on the table,” says the spy who tells us that Slugqueen read the stuff and told him about his future. Unfortunately, no one heard about his destiny.
Off the runway, George Wayne took advantage of the chic fashion presence by hosting the annual Downtown 100 Party in Nebula, attended by Candace Bushnell, Jean Shafiroff and designer Frederick Anderson. Elle Decor also organized a party for screenwriter Mary Brock Akil, who selected Elaine Welteroth’s new mum.
The fall gala is next on the social calendar.
New York Fashion Week is back!
