Vinny Guadagnino Responds To DWTS Support From Jersey Shore Stars

Oh yeah, “Dancing with the Stars”, yeah!

Vinny Guadagnino partially credits his high-performance performance in Monday’s dance competition with two of his Jersey Shore buddies visiting a star-studded ballroom.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and DJ Pauly D were in the audience to support their partner when he and his pro partner, Koko Iwasaki performed the “Luca” inspired samba during “Disney + Night”.

This procedure gave Guadagnino and Iwasaki their highest score so far – 29/40 against judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaby, Bruno Toniola and Derek Hough – and the dance duo do not consider it a coincidence.

“I mean, just having them there, having my boys there – we all laughed backstage,” said 34-year-old Guadagnino Page Six after the show.

“We’re the MVP, baby!” he continued. “We are a group and are here to support me.”

Iwasaki spoke in a similar vein, telling us, “I want them here every week because [Vinny] did a great job today! ”

“I’m like,” Maybe Pauly and Mike are lucky charms, “she added. “I’m here for it.”

Guadagnino and Iwasaki were excited about their results this week given the consistent critical feedback they have received from the judges since the start of the first season.

During the night’s premiere, they both received the night’s lowest score, 17/40, followed by 27/40 for “Elvis Night” and 23/40 for “Bond Night”.

When asked about this week’s breakthrough performance, Guadagnino told Page Six that the pair were still “making big jumps” and that their new high score “feels really good”.

The cast of Jersey Shore is no stranger to DWTS, of course. Sorrentino, 40, competed with professional Karina Smirnoff in season 11, followed by Nicole “Snooki” LaValle with Sasha Farber in season 17.

Guadagnino told Page Six that all of his Jersey Shore colleagues had supported him throughout the competition, especially LaValle, 34, and Deena Nicole Cortese.

“I mean, Dancing with the Stars is like Nicole’s favorite show,” he explained. “So she knew I’d be on the show before me. [It’s like] waiting for an announcement like every year. [It’s been] nothing but support ”.

Dancing With the Stars returns Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 PM EST, 5:00 PM PT on Disney +.
