Welcome to Plathville star Kim Plath was arrested for drunk driving this week on charges following a June car accident.
According to a police report obtained by Page Six, authorities discovered the TLC reality star’s car upside down in a ditch filled with water.
The report notes that 50-year-old Plath was visibly intoxicated and had the smell of alcohol emanating from her mouth. She was taken to a nearby hospital to treat her injuries.
Plath was hit by reckless driving on June 10, but blood tests that came back months later confirmed she was under the influence at the time of the accident.
A warrant for the indictment of Plath on drunk driving charges was filed on September 8, court records show, and was delivered on Thursday. She turned on the same day and was released. Fees also cover property damage and personal injury.
The arrest comes four months after she and her husband Barry Plath announced their divorce 24 years later.
“After much reflection and discussion, we decided to end our marriage,” said in joint statement for People.
“While it has not been an easy decision, we know it is the best choice for both of us,” they continued. “We have gone through many ups and downs in the 24 years of our marriage, and as we go through this new chapter in our lives, we will bear our amazing children.”
The ex-couple has 10 children together: Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, Mercy, and Joshua, who died just 15 months old in 2008.
