On Thursday, Aug. 11, the FBI and the Ohio Highway State Patrol said Ricky Walter Shiffer, the man charged with breaking and entering an FBI office in Cincinnati, had been shot and killed in a Clinton County cornfield.

Shiffer attempted to break into the FBI’s field office on Thursday. He shot at police officers with a nail gun and showed them a rifle before running away.

Multiple sources say Shiffer supported the January 6 attack on the US Capitol complex and said he was involved, but he was never arrested for any crime related to it.

Shiffer is said to have criticized the FBI raid on Trump’s home and posted several calls to action on Trump’s social media platform Truth Social before the incident on Thursday.

Ricky Shiffer, who was killed trying to break into an FBI office while armed and wearing body armor, had the most active Truth Social account I’ve ever seen. In his two most recent non-reply posts:

NEWSFLASH: The terrorist who attacked the FBI in Cincinnati has been killed by police after a 6-hour firefight. Ricky Walter Shiffer is a supporter of MAGA Trump who tried to start an uprising on January 6.

During the six-hour standoff that followed, officials tried to talk to Shiffer and stop him from committing suicide. But he didn’t give up, so around 3:45 pm he was shot.

At about 9 a.m. today, a person with a gun attempted to break into the FBI’s Cincinnati Visitor Screening Facility. After the alarm went off and FBI agents arrived to help, the person ran north on Interstate 71.

Residents and employees of nearby businesses were reportedly told to stay indoors after Clinton County Emergency Management ordered all buildings within a mile of the site to shut down.

Ricky Shiffer used a nail gun and rifle to attack an FBI office in Ohio. He was shot and died.

Shiffer was angry that the FBI searched Donald Trump’s home in Mar-A-Lago.

Previous charges against Shiffer

Ricky Walter Shiffer got two tickets in Franklin County, Ohio in 2013. One was for speeding and the other for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Quotes from there place him in the 700 block of Sullivant Avenue in Franklinton and the 500 block of Chilcote Avenue in the university district.
