Eric Knowles is a British television presenter and antiques expert. He prefers to collect ceramics and glass.
He began his career in northern England in the early 1970s. It was when he came to the Antiques Roadshow that he first caught the attention of the BBC.
When he came to the London auction house Bonhams in 1979, the landlord founded the “Art Nouveau” and “Art Deco” sections.
On the other hand, he is the chairman of The Hoard Ltd., a company that also offers antique tours. We also know the following about his wife, teeth and health.
Where have Eric Knowles’ teeth gone?
Eric Knowles’ teeth are in good condition and have never given him any problems. But if you look closely at his pictures, you might notice that his teeth are a bit yellow and have gaps between them.
He also first came to prominence as a ceramics expert on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow. He has also been on shows like 20th Century Roadshow, Noel’s House Party, Call My Bluff, Going for a Song and Going, Going, Gone.
In the summer of 2010 he was the presenter of 20 episodes of the BBC show Restoration Roadshow (ending 3 September).
On BBC Two’s Antiques Master, he helps Sandi Toksvig overcome challenges and make decisions.
Update on his illness and health issue related to leukemia
Eric Knowles looks at how the NHS has changed over time by reflecting on a painful event from his childhood. Eric was nine years old when he was told he had leukemia. He spent six weeks in the hospital.
Although he was alone, there were some good things about it, and the toys he got made him want to collect for the rest of his life.
They act out this situation by sending a 1960’s ambulance and a retired ambulance driver down the same route Eric would have taken to get to the hospital.
After several weeks of tests, leukemia was finally ruled out and glandular fever was found to be the cause.
Despite being quite ill, he saved his family from a terminal illness. dr Margaret Rokicka, an oncologist, helped Eric figure out how such a mistake could happen.
In 2015, the Antiques Roadshow host and his wife Anita Knowles lost a son
We don’t know the exact date of Eric and Anita’s wedding, but in an interview with Express, Bargain Host said the two have been together for 13 years.
At the time of the 2013 interview, they had been happily together for more than 21 years.
Eric spoke about his private life, saying, “My wife Anita and I have lived here for 13 years and my personal space has always been reading.”
Before their older son Sebastian died in a car crash in March 2015, the power couple lived in Buckinghamshire with their two sons, Oliver and Sebastian. Now there are three of them.
More specifically, Anita also takes care of Eric’s money. She is one of the people who manages the money left over from Eric’s paycheck after the mortgage and college tuition are paid.
